What it does
Vantage Player opens a single video and lines up the rest of its folder. If you pick several videos at once, it plays just those.
It plays MP4, M4V, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, MPEG-TS (TS, M2TS, MTS), WMV, FLV, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, OGV, ASF and VOB, including HEVC (H.265) video.
How to use it
One video
- Drag the video onto the window.
- Or press Ctrl+O, or click the open button on the control bar, or right-click → Open….
- Or double-click it in File Explorer once Vantage Player is your video app.
A whole folder
- Drag the folder onto the window. Vantage Player plays the videos in it.
Several videos
- In File Explorer, select the videos you want and press Enter, or right-click → Open with → Vantage Player. Only the selected videos play, in the current sort order.
- You can also select several files in the Ctrl+O dialog, or drag several onto the window.
If Vantage Player is already open, the videos you open from File Explorer play in that window.
Troubleshooting
- A file does not play: see A video stutters or won't play.
- Videos with copy protection (DRM) and DVD or Blu-ray disc menus do not play.
- Double-clicking a video opens another player: see Vantage Player isn't my default app.
