Usually neither all at once. If the system still does its job and the trouble is that it is slow, hard to change, or running on something end-of-life, we refactor in place: keep what works, replace the parts that hurt, and ship each piece as it is done.

A rewrite earns its cost when the foundation itself is the problem: a platform nobody supports anymore, a data model that fights every new feature, or security that cannot be bolted on. Even then we rebuild it in slices that go live one at a time, not as one big switch-over. Discovery is where we tell you which one you have, and we will say so if the honest answer is "leave it alone."

It depends on how much of the system has to change, how much data has to move, and how many other systems it talks to. A focused fix to one painful area is a very different job from rebuilding a platform your whole company runs on.

What we can promise is the shape of the price. We start with a short discovery, then quote each phase at a fixed price before it starts. Moving your live data and customers is priced as its own phase, because that is where risk lives. You can stop after any phase and keep everything built so far, source code included.

By never running one. Big-bang rewrites fail because the old system keeps changing while the new one is built in the dark, and nobody sees working software until it is too late to steer.

We put the new system next to the old one and move over one workflow at a time. You see working software in weeks, real users are on the new parts early, and the old system retires piece by piece. If priorities change halfway, what is already done is live and paying for itself, not stranded in a branch.

AI can write a lot of the code, and we use it every day. It makes building faster and cheaper, and we pass that on.

What it does not do is know whether the result is right: whether one customer can see another's data, whether it holds up under real load, whether it passes the security review your own buyers will ask for, and whether moving your live customers onto it loses anything. That judgment still takes people who have done it before. It is the part we sell, and the part that matters when the software runs your business.
