History

What it does
History lists every scan and clean-up, newest first, with the total space Underbrush has freed
so far. Each clean-up shows what was cleared, how much, where it was started (the Free up button
or Clean up), and notes about anything kept: recent files, small .json and .txt files, git
repositories, files in use, and items that were skipped and why.
Putting things back
Your call items you clear are set aside for a week first (see Clean up). They are listed at the top of History under Set aside for a week, with the date each will be deleted for good.
- Put back moves every file back where it was. If you've since made a new file with the same
name, the old one comes back as
name (restored)so nothing is overwritten. Rescan to see it in the lists again. - Delete now deletes it for good straight away and gives you the space.
After a week, set-aside items are deleted the next time Underbrush opens or clears something.
How to use it
Open the History tab. Nothing to set up.
The log is a file on your computer:
- Windows:
%APPDATA%\LTCLabs\Underbrush\history.jsonl - Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/LTCLabs/Underbrush/history.jsonl
It never leaves your computer.
Troubleshooting
- History is empty after reinstalling: the log lives in the folder above. If that folder was removed, the history went with it.
