Getting started

Yoink runs on Windows 10 or 11 and on macOS 12 or later. On Windows it asks for administrator rights, because reading a raw disk needs them.
- Plug in the USB stick or SD card.
- Open Yoink. The drive appears on the home screen with its size and file system.
- Pick what you want: back the stick up to an image, wipe it, or make a Windows 11 installer (Windows only).
- Read the screen before you confirm. A wipe asks you to type ERASE.
The same jobs exist in the yoink command that ships in the zip. The desktop app and the command use the same engine.
