Reports

What it does. Turns the walk into tables: which AP carried the most points, which device saw the weakest signal, where the roams happened. Reports is on the desktop toolbar, and on a phone it is the Reports tab.
How to use it
Pick a date range at the top (clear dates resets it), and optionally a device or a survey label. Every table below covers that selection.
| Table | What it answers |
|---|---|
| By access point | Points, average and minimum signal, % weak (below −78 dBm) and average satisfaction per AP. The AP that carries a lot of points with a weak average is the one to move or add to. |
| By device | The same per walking device — useful when a phone and a tablet walked the same property. |
| Signal vs humidity | Average signal grouped by humidity. Over months of walks, this is where a damp-weather drop shows up. |
| By survey (run) | One row per walk label: points, average signal, average humidity. Compare before and after moving an AP. |
| Roam events | Each handoff: time, device, from → to, and the signal after. Roams clustered in one spot mean two APs fighting over the same ground. |
Avg sat is the controller's own satisfaction score. Controllers that do not report one leave this column as —; only UniFi fills it in reliably.
Export CSV takes the current selection to a spreadsheet.
Troubleshooting
- "Showing the most recent N of M samples" — a report covers at most 50,000 points. Narrow the date range, or use the export the full CSV link in that notice, which carries the whole selection.
- Every AP column is empty — no controller is configured, so HollowMap recorded position only. See Settings & controllers.
- A stretch of the walk has no AP — points recorded away from Wi-Fi are stored with their own GPS and radio reading, and no AP. HollowMap does not guess which AP you were on when it could not see one.
