A monitor won't wake up

Quick fixes

1. Move the mouse or press a key — and wait a couple of seconds. Some monitors take a moment to come back.
2. Wake All — right-click the tray icon → Wake All.
3. Reopen BranchOut Display — every time it starts it sends "on" to all monitors it can control and turns back on any display signal it turned off.
4. Win+P → Extend — brings back a monitor whose signal was turned off.
5. Restart the PC — always restores everything; BranchOut Display never saves changes into your Windows display settings.

The monitor's power button does nothing

Some monitors ignore their own power button after being told to sleep over DDC/CI until they get an "on" command. Use Wake All or reopen BranchOut Display. As a last resort, unplug the monitor's power for a few seconds.

It happens every time

• Turn off DP deep sleep, Auto input switch or similar in the monitor's on-screen menu. These make a sleeping monitor look unplugged to Windows.
• Connect it over HDMI instead of DisplayPort if you can.
• If it's a monitor without DDC/CI set to Turn off its signal, try Black screen instead.

If a monitor doesn't respond when woken, BranchOut Display shows a notification naming it.

Use Contact Support with Include diagnostic logs ticked — the log shows every sleep and wake attempt for each monitor.
